1960 Vox AC-15 Combo Amplifier
It was a true joy to plug in and play this vintage Vox amplifier: a 1960 AC-15 1×12″ combo amplifier. Powered by EL84 power tubes and capable of producing up to 15 watts: the AC-15 is a perfect pick for those who want a low to mid-wattage amplifier with classic Vox chime. The AC-15 has Normal and Bright channels with onboard tremolo. This particular amp has a newer Vox logo installed with the original logo included. The amplifier includes a metal JMI-branded footswitch to control the tremolo and has a modern 3-prong plug installed. As you can see from the incredibly neat wiring – the circuitry remains original with the exception of an aftermarket Mercury Magnetics choke. It does not have the back plate which had the serial number of the amp. A very cool and rare artifact of Rock and Roll history, you don’t see too many of these come up for sale often.
