1979 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Mapleglo
Here’s a players-grade 1979 Rickenbacker 4001 bass in the classic Mapleglo finish. Visibly heavily played throughout its years, the bass has a list of repairs and upkeep that keep it still going today. There are repaired headstock cracks that went through the tuner holes, repaired fretboard separations and repaired binding separations. The output jack, which has the Rickenbacker serial number stamped on it has corrosion on it deeming the serial impossible to see anymore, though the electronics remain original and we’ve dated the bass to 1979 through the pot codes. Lastly, there’s raised wood around the truss rod cavity, which makes it not possible to use Rickenbacker truss rod adjustment tool. The bass is a road warrior for sure, and with the original electronics in there – sounds great with that irreplaceable Rickenbacker growl. A hardshell case is included with this 4001.
