1987 PRS Custom 24 Royal Blue
We love seeing a well-worn PRS Custom 24, especially one from the late ’80s when the PRS factory was a young upstart of a company! This is a 1987 Custom 24 finished in Royal Blue (with the finish name written in sharpie beneath the bridge humbucker) fitted with a beautiful flame maple top and a Brazilian rosewood fretboard (which was standard until 1991). The guitar has been refretted over the years and has fretwear on the first seven frets – this thing was gigged and loved for sure! There’s a bit of finish clouding along with checking and wear throughout. The guitar has the original Standard Bass and Treble pickups, along with the Sweet switch and 5-way rotary pickup switch as you’d see on other ’80s PRS guitars. It includes a Fodera gigbag along with the DiMarzio Cliplok strap and tremolo arm.
