This took a lot of planning with the Fender Custom Shop and a blessing from the man himself! We are proud to finally unveil our run of Fender Custom Shop Teambuilt Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Stratocasters which we’re dubbing “Neo-Relics”, after the genre in which Malmsteen pioneered. This Strat is finished in Candy Apple Red with a tasteful relic treatment throughout the guitar, and it’s the first time a Yngwie model has been officially relic’d by Fender since the 2008 run of “Play Loud” Tribute Stratocasters!
All of the classic Yngwie specs are there: a scalloped fretboard with gigantic 6000-size frets, a large late ’60s-style headstock, Schaller “F” tuners and his signature YJM Fury pickups made by Seymour Duncan. If you love relic’d Strats and have the need for speed of a Yngwie model with its scalloped fretboard, you’re going to love this instrument.
