Gibson Custom Shop 1961 SG Custom Ebony Yamano 2006
This awesome SG Custom is a 2006 Custom Shop ’61 Reissue, originally ordered by Yamano Music in Japan with the Yamano booklet included. The SG has an ebony finish, classy gold hardware, triple humbuckers, and a Maestro tailpiece. There is light playwear around the body including a ding on the top near the upper horn and on the treble side of the tailpiece. The nut appears to have been changed, and Schaller strap locks are installed. The guitar plays wonderfully, and includes the original case, a cloth case jacket, and the Yamano Music booklet, however no Gibson Certificate of Authenticity. Guitars built for Yamano are often considered some of Gibson’s best, and with this SG’s looks and feel – we believe it!
