Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Edition 1958 Korina Explorer and Flying V Set
Two of the most desirable electric guitars ever made, recreated perfectly and being sold as a set: this is the Gibson Custom Shop Collectors Edition 1958 Korina Explorer and Flying V. This set is in collectors condition and includes the original Gibson shipping boxes as well as cases, certificates of authenticity and all accompanying accessories. These guitars replicated the original 1958 Flying V and Explorer with the original woods used; Korina and Brazilian rosewood. Each were made to the original production numbers of the models. Only 19 Explorers and 81 Flying V’s were built in 1958: this set is #2 for the Flying V and #82 for the Explorer, which would make that the first Explorer made in this Custom Shop run. Each guitar features aging by the Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab, period correct Brazilian rosewood fretboards, and Custombucker pickups. Included are the original period correct cases with a beautiful set of case candy with a leather strap, vintage-style instrument cable and picks and a Gibson pennant.
